Mortlake Brewery Community Group meetings

Planning Application goes in

Thank you to all those who came to our meeting on Monday March 5th at St Mary the Virgin church to hear about the plans that have been submitted to the Richmond Council to develop the brewery site. The council planning officers are validating the application and have yet to make the plans public. This is the biggest development in the borough and it is vital that the council fully consult with the community on all aspects of the application . We have asked the Leader of the Council, to ensure that local residents are given plenty of time to examine the plans and provide an opportunity discuss them in a public forum with councillors and planning officers.

We will let you know how the council intend to consult residents as soon as we know what is planned. In the meantime, we are now urgently planning the next stage of our campaign to stop Mortlake from being over-developed. Do let us know if you want to get involved. We will need help with leafleting and knocking on doors to raise awareness and encourage all our neighbours to respond to the application.
